This intricate patchwork is a reflection of ever-changing traditional handwoven quilt work. The coverlet has been inspired by and revived from old Kanthas (quilts) of the 1900s. It's a simple yet powerful statement of repeating patterns and motifs. The colorful thread and layering with printed old sarees have a lot to say about the vibrant culture and traditional practice of upcycling.
