Participants of the We the People Community Quilt project were asked to answer a number of questions regarding their quilt square.
1. What does your square represent? "WNY is a paradise of gardens. I choose recycled scraps from stitch buffalo to create a garden theme. All fabrics cotton. I chose paper flowers for 3D look."
2. Why did you choose these symbols? "I love gardens after having to live in Los Angeles for 20 years in an apartment, I finally have a home and a garden. The Open gardens and gardening community gave me such a warm welcome when I moved here in Nov. 2020 my garden has gifted plants from many kind gardeners."
3. What do you hope viewers notice or feel? "I hope to convey the love and joy that comes with gardening. I sow many seeds every year and gardening is a labor of love. My garden is a happy place to be and it welcomes birds, bees and butterflies."
