1. What does your square represent? Background fabric- snow. Bright colored fabric for the people to represent the energy and resilience of people during the storm.
2. Why did you choose these symbols? During the Blizzard 77' I was a college freshman. My mother at the time was a nurse at Buffalo General Hospital. She was at the hospital when the storm struck. She spent the duration of the storm at the hospital caring for her patients. I remember taking the sled to the grocery store to get groceries for ourselves and the neighbors, carrying the groceries home on our sled.
