Participants of the We the People Community Quilt project were asked to answer a number of questions regarding their quilt square.
1. What does your square represent? Pop art Seth Grosvenor in a paisley coat, bright pink chemise, and dashing cravat.
2. Why did you choose these symbols? Seth Grosvenor was a resident of Buffalo who defended the city as the British burned it to the ground. Seth was a do-gooder who founded a library in the city of Buffalo upon his death in 1857.
3. What do you hope viewers notice or feel? We hope that people remember that our kindest acts reverberate into the future
