Participants of the We the People Community Quilt project were asked to answer a number of questions regarding their quilt square.
1. What does your square represent? My square is meant to represent the idea that our stories are what bind us together as a nation. They are the means through which we learn to value each other and grow as a nation.
2. Why did you choose these symbols? I chose different colors to represen thte book covers, some animal prints, some with people, etc.
3. What do you hope viewers notice or feel? I hope people recognize how inmportant stories are and the power they hold to teach us to embrace each other and our collective experiences.
