Participants of the We the People Community Quilt project were asked to answer a number of questions regarding their quilt square.
1. What does your square represent? The square represents the Great Prismatic Lake in Yellowstone National Park. I used various felts and cotton materials to create the layered colors.
2. Why did you choose these symbols? I chose this scene because I went to Yellowstone for the first time this spring. It was awesome to see the legacy of our country's national park system.
3. What do you hope viewers notice or feel? I hope viewers can recognize Great Prismatic Lake and think about the vastness of our country.
